The Firemen – SNES – Let’s Play and Review

The Firemen on Super Nintendo is considered by many people as a “hidden gem” on the 90s system due to it only being released in Europe, Japan, and Australia – it never made it to North America for some reason. It was released in Japan on September 1994, and then in May 1995 in Europe.

It was fairly highly reviewed at the time, but was criticised for it’s short length, and when you consider that SNES games used to cost £40+ (which is expensive now, let alone in 1995), this was a big factor when choosing a game to buy.

It’s a great game, and I enjoyed playing it. I will definitely return to it one day in the future to try and complete it. The shortness of the game actually appeals to me now as I’m a busy old man, and so a game being quick to play and complete is now a good thing!

Equipment:

  • Analogue Super NT
  • 8BitDo SN30 Gamepad
