Super Off Road – SNES – Let’s Play – Longplay

I love this game – I had Super Off Road on the Amiga (although on that system it was called “Ivan ‘Ironman’ Stewart’s Super Off Road”), and it was just as much fun as this SNES version.

It’s a sort of top down/isometric view and you take control of one of four cars (you can also have a two player), and you have to do 5 laps of the various courses, and finish in the top 3. You win money as you race round, and then use this money to upgrade your car (buying tyres, shocks, acceleration, or top speed). You can also buy and use nitros which give you a nice speed boost.

Lots of different courses, with reversible ones to keep it fresh, and shortcuts, obstacles, pickups to keep the game fun. Easy to pick up and play, and a decent challenge to fully upgrade the car, and then keep finishing on that podium! Love this game!
